This week I have been learning simple Maori sentences. The hard thing was to say them in Pakeha. The easy thing was to make a sentence in Maori. I need to work on finding out the Pakeha sentences for my Maori sentences.

Room 3 Assembly

Last week it was our assembly and we were learning to be confident in singing and speaking. The hard part was to speak clearly in the mic. The easy part was standing confidently. I need to always talk clearly through the mic.

Olympic Underwater Hurdles

Race day

Yayy!!! This is the day I competed at Olympics for underwater hurdles. When I first jumped in the water it was freezing. In my head I was thinking about all my training I did. I said to myself I need to try my best to win a medal. Now it’s time to race. I lined up at the starting line and off I go. I felt energetic because there was no air under the water. While I was jumping over I the hurdles I felt like I was jumping over the whole word because my legs we’re stretching far across the hurdles. When I ran to the 2nd to last hurdle I stretched a muscle and got injured. But I still tried my best to make my country proud and so we could win a medal. Even though I was injured I still came in 2nd place. When I ran to the last hurdle I was dragging my leg along the sand under the water and trying to lift my leg over the last hurdle. I reached the finish line and I came 2nd. Yayy!!! I came 2nd and won the silver medal. My race is over for today but I will be competing in next Olympics.

Writting Metaphor

We have been learning about Metaphors and now we know the difference between a simile and a metaphor because a simile uses "like" and "as" and a metaphor uses "Is".

My chocolate family.

My family lives in a colourful chocolate box.
Mum is the tasty sweet crunchy that is caring at the bottom.
Dad is the white tasty dark peanut slab that is strong after Mum.
Tuvaine is the soft sweet flake because she’s messy after Dad. Carla-dee is the caramel sweet mars after Tuvaine.
Lastly I’m the colourful box holding us all together.

Oh no you fell down a hole the only way to get out is through the magic mirror.
4. Oh no again the magic mirror was glitching you ended up at the wrong place.

Oh no you woke up the grizzly bear you have to run away fast before you get eaten.
6. Sale south way to the swamp and get of the ship and go to the other side of the swamp watch out for the tuna’s.
7.Go south then east past the angry fish don’t get eaten and go to the black tunnel.
